Bert is a lifelong resident of the Capital District with thirty years in the music and entertainment business. His musical abilities span all genres of music including jazz, rhythm and blues, pop, and country.
Bert has played with numerous local bands including Downtime and Plus 24 and has shared the stage with Joan Armatrading, Lee Ritenour, Jeff Lorber(featuring Kenny G.), Gap Mangione, Jay Traynor (Jay & the Americans) and John Pizzarelli.
Rich has played in many Capital Area bands over the past 32 years including, Rutland Road, Tapps, Rhythm Cycle, Cheers, Impulse, Bluz House Rockers, The Fortunate Few, Capital Soul Revue, Soul Provider Band and Doc Orloff's Blues Elixer.
Rich has shared the stage with many well-known national acts including: Molly Hatchet, members of Blood, Sweat and Tears and members of Little Feat. He has also opened for many well known acts including: Delbert McClinton, Marcia Ball, Pat Benatar, Richie Havens, NRBQ, Talking Heads, Roy Buchanan, Roberta Flack, Vonda Shepard, Grinder Switch, Wet Willie, and Dobie Gray.
Veteran of over 30 years playing in and around the capitol district. Studied classically for 8 years, and has played in almost every professional outlet available during his career. Paul has played in such bands as, Rutland Road, Late Night Flyers, Bluz House Rockers, The Rocco Brothers, and the SUNY Orchestra.
He has shared the stage with national acts such as, Little Feat, Marshal Tucker, Joan Jett, Blue Oyster Cult, Fabulous Thunderbirds, John Mayall, Eddie Money, and New Riders of the Purple Sage, Talking Heads, Survivor, Lover Boy and Pat Benatar and too many more to mention...
Paul is very excited about joining The Big Idea because in his words, "I wanted a band that played every song with such a deep groove so that all my friends would come back out and to remind us of how much fun it was back then!"
Joe started playing professionally after high school ('67). He has played in many bands over the years including Cathedral, Rocco Bros., Phatt and Badd, Cryin Out Loud, Loose Cannon, Bluz House Rockers and The Back 40 Band.
